Of course you could have just done a simple search before flying off into a rant and then we could all have been saved this drivel.

Like I said I bought the N900 10 days ago . . . I dont know how much information was available before January but I know I have been able to find a WEALTH of information both GOOD and BAD about the device . . .

To hell with it... that's where it's going.

If every blog and website that talks about this phone and every other is an advertisement ?

Than WTF ARE YOU????

Well here you go . . . .

You asked me to Google "N900 provisioning"

In reference to the N900's working with "provisioning email"

http://www.google.com/search?q=N900+provisioning&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&client=firefox-a

That query returns about 376,000 for N900 provisioning. (0.32 seconds)

I ignored both the Nokia and Maemo Forums like you asked and the website that comes up after that ON THE FIRST FREAKING PAGE is this one ....

That is the except found in Google!!!

You wouldn't have even had to click through to learn that the N900 doesn't support "provisioning email"

Now my main question is why you are siting here trying to discredit every source on the internet that talks about this phone????

Nokia's Point of sale is biased toward selling it's product and not advertising it's shortcoming as it should be..right?

All the tech and phone blogs and youtube vloggers that review this device and gave it less than perfect "Honest" reviews are advertisements?

The Nokia Forums are also somehow biased advertisements ??

Oh and people aren't allowed to use the Maemo.Org forums to research this Maemo Powered Device because......????

Oh yea that's right because you own the Maemo forum.

Dude get over yourself . . . .

Everybody who enjoys this phone and is happy with it is a "fanboy" . . . your an idiot . . . Unlike allot of people who bought this phone, I never owned a Nokia Smart phone . . . I honestly could care less that this phone is made by Nokia . . . I don't walk around with a Nokia shirt on . . . . I would have bought this phone regardless of who made it, HTC, Acer, even Samsung.

I didn't buy this phone because I am a fan of Nokia because honestly I am NOT . . .

I bought this phone because of what it is and what it can do!!!

I am not "apologizing" for Nokia, they are not paying me!!!

I am the first person to post a complaint about the phone but instead of b^tching and wining about it I try too look for a solution . . . .

I can't stand it when you people act like victims all the time???

WTF is wrong with you people .... buy the phone from Nokia Direct and if it doesn't fit your needs, like this OBSCURE forum of email that you ASSUMED the device supported . . . than you got your receipt RIGHT?

Goto the Nokia Store, return it, and get your money back . . .

STOP HANGING OUT IN THE MAEMO FORUMS CRYING ABOUT IT IN EVERY THREAD . . .
(you dont even own a maemo phone anymore)

AND BY ALL MEANS PLEASE . . . .

MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!!!!

Before the N900, there was the 770. And after it, the N800 and N810.

I own two of the four aforementioned devices. I do believe I was here, post more regularly in those areas - Maemo 4 et al - and yet... I'm being told to leave?

Naw young one... not going anywhere. I sorta have earned my place in this community. Just because you got the shiny, new, recently purchased in 2010 N900; the community does not revolve around you. Nor me, for that matter.

Besides... how else would I do my "research"?

Now, regarding your "proof"; you missed the point by a country mile. I stated that the burden of proof of those aforesaid searches and prove how documentation, not threads here at TMO nor Discussions.Nokia - I mean real documentation - and you'll see... there was no mention in September, October, November nor December of 2009 about those thing. Look at the timestamps and you'll eventually concur... some grievances on these boards were not addressed in any review, were not specified in any PR materials, and are now becoming addressed only in these forums.

If you purchased this phone in December, thus before PR1.01 and PR 1.1, you've gained some better understanding of your N900 after the initial reviews and have since seen the rise of a few major grievances - one hardware issue, a few MS Exchange issues, and some UI enhancements/workarounds.

None of that was delivered as documentation before your precious Google searches.

Here's a better, more narrow search; this nets 122 results and seem to point back to Symbian before you even get to Maemo and how it relates to MS Exchange.

I know how to use Google quite well. The documentation still isn't there.

Keep trying. I've supplied more "proof" than you seemingly have attempted.

In simpler terms... you failed to prove your point; which is bad because the burden of proving, in a concrete manner your stance was laid upon you. You've been measured; found lacking.

AND BY ALL MEANS PLEASE . . . .

MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE!!!!
No thanks. I have research to do first. Bis dann.

Well Frankly speaking i did a lot of study and research before i went to get it. And I Just fell in love with it when i used it. So many things still to come and i love suprises.

Well its not the fault Of people Who just change there devices when something new comes out in the market.....
N900 is not for everyone tastebuds....because Its not the Same OS like other nokia phones.

When i bought this phone....there were others who were just buying it because it was new and expensive and i was not suprised they came to give it back for exchange for something simple to use. This is wht happen when u dont know wht you are buying......

well N900 Is way different than any other phone and it ROCKS!!!

Honestly most of my comments have been directed at the Original Poster @UNderworld and his twin brother @guber99 and in response to the original thread "Returning my N900"

@UNderworld is stuck between getting a Android and the N900

@guber99 was coming from an iPhone to a N900

Both tried the N900 and didn't like it because it didn't do what is was or wasn't supposed to do . . .

For Whatever reason It didn't fit their needs . . . this is a complicated little phone and not only do you have to do a little research BEFORE you buy it. Doing a little research after you buy it is the only way you are going to get the most out of it. PERIOD.

I bet that both of then have not even enabled the Maemo.ORG in the App Manager.

Hey, that is OK, I personally think that should be enabled by default because the average windows / iphone / android user is not even going to beadle to grasp this simple concept at first.

They are going to turn on their phone . . . Goto apps and say . . . . that's it?? I want my money back!!!!

That is what their are doing both @UNderworld and @guber99 started these threads because they are returning their phones to Nokia. That's cool. You like your iPhone . . . stick with your iphone. Their is nothing wrong with that. But don't continue to "TROLL" around the forum looking for trouble.

Goto some iPhone Forum and talk about the great new things that you can do with your iphone.

I am on this forum to share discover and maby even help develop some great new things that I can do with my N900!
