Good Morning and Happy Lunar New Year. I need some help desperately. I tried turning on my phone and guess what? It just keeps restarting and if I hear the Nokia start up tune one more time, I might go MAD!
The phone appears to go through the start up cycle, the hands touch and guess what? It does is again!!! I have tried taking out the battery, removing sim card, plugging in the phone, turning it off and on multiple times and still nothing. Please, please help me

I think re-flashing your phone is the key here. Whenever that happened to Nokias phone which runs Symbian you had to flash them(or in my case, leave it to the Nokia Service Centre, under warranty of course) Flashing Symbian phones require special hardware I think, N900 can be flashed with a normal USB cable.

Have a look at http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware for flashing instructions. Depending on what the issue is, you may also be able to fix it in R&D Mode - you really need to know what you're looking for to do that though.

maybe the memory or root directory became full without your knowing or so application began to clash with start up processes...yeah since it is a software problem, reflashing should work. Thank god we no longer need to carry phones to nokia care centers for reflash. Best regards...

Well yeah i have experienced that with Nokia 6600

Actually last thing i did was removing Currency Converter from N900 to get that 5mb more free space i needed for the new update.
20 minutes later i heard Maemo boot video sound from my pocket and the phone just started to reboot time after time.

Hmm it keeps saying acces denied when i'm trying the last command in command prompt(reflashing).
Caused by 64bit Vista?

Have you enabled the loading of unsigned drivers?

What i a found was that it's not that easy anymore with SP2 Vista 64 to actually enabled the loading of unsigned drivers. Found some 25-30 step instruction to do it.

Flashing N900 in one of the most used operating systems can't be this hard, right?
