Welcome all, and note that we are coming up on a maemo.org council election. Check out Community section for info... and get your karma up! Den in USA and I have got you started.

Hi all!

I'm new to Maemo, but I've been around Linux/*nix quite the while now. I've got my N900 for about a week now and already discovered maemo talk before I bought it (for example I had already found the iSync plugin to sync the N900 with OSX) but now I found even more very interesting threads so I thought I'd join and try to contribute a bit to the community where I can along my very exciting journey through Maemo territory.
Like I've said I'm new to the OS but already I'm loving it!

I hope to have a good time here!
Pfuh

Got my N900 on Friday and I'm VERY pleased with it. I've been using SimplyMepis Linux on my PCs at home for some time now, so the N900 felt very comfortable and familiar pretty quickly once I'd enabled the extras repository and installed a few apps. Using sftp to drag and drop files from my desktop PC is a revelation after previously messing with USB cables and/or Bluetooth. I do have a couple of minor issues which I'll now go and search for answers to and/or post elsewhere about...

Greetings!
New member from Montreal, Canada here, proud owner of a N900 since December and am in love with it
I always do my research in here and read answers, lol, this community is amazing, always people helping others
Although I am new to Linux I unfortunately cannot contribute much and always say away from Extras-Dev, lol. I am just waiting for that PS3 Controller to be performed from Extras and without the need to flash kernel

Hey Hey everybody.

Got my N900 at the end of January and had a few peeks on here. thought it was time I stopped lurking and joined up.

Despite a few teething issues (ovi store why don't you work?) I love it.
Haven't added extra catalogues etc yet but will be looking into it now that I'm one with my phone.

Knew the N900 was for me when I first saw a vid last july/august. blew me away then and still does now.

As I'm new here and not some linux programmer if anyone wants to point me to the most relevant stuff to look at/follow, fire away.

peace
Seán

Hi have had the small beast for a couple of days.
Love toys but not very good at fixing things.

Anything but an I phone.

Cant even get the PC suite to work this all should be fun.

Thinking about joining the testing out pool. If I can work it anyone can
