Any other legacy device user out there that either already have a site up and running (and could add a vBulletin to it for instance) - or have the time and know-how to set up a new site for N770/N800/N810 users where we could discuss those devices?
Personally I don't have the skills to set something up but I'd be willing to contribute in ways like helping out with hosting fees, etc.
Anyone interested in (or have already thought about) such an undertaking?
I doubt that this would 'rob' the tmo of any users as many are probably also N900 owners and/or would keep going here for other reasons - but I would personally love to have a new home.

LOL! Sounds like you are not too happy with the New Trailer Park that moved in next door!

Why create a new site; several Maemo sites sprang up when the N900 was released, why not take some of that energy there and bolster what you perceive that is missing here with filling it in on those sites?

I'm not sure I understand 100% what you wrote.
Do you mean I should go to N900 fan-sites and promote the N770/N800/N810 devices and 'turn them into' legacy device fan-sites?
I would think those sites were created more for the N900 than anything else
All I'm really "looking for" is a separate site where legacy-device users can discuss their devices without drowning in N900-N950-MeeGo-Etc chatter.

b) Could a forum be structured in such a way that N770, N800, N810 AND N900 users could co-exist and threads/sub-forums managed better than at tmo?

Heh, there is no doubt that management could be done better than here by a long shot. This is the most poorly setup forum I've ever seen.

Or maybe in light of today's MeeGo announcement it should be a 'Maemo Legacy OS'-site
