How is the viewing angle on the E60/N95 compared to the N800?

I'm trying to figure out if there will be a cost (as in other features diminished) if the N800 screen is changed to a transflective one.

true, I was thinking of something more widely used like skype -- but that's not really unexpected at this point, plus texrat said after my post that no guesses were correct as yet.

of course then he implied that he probably wouldn't admit it if we did find it so.... the mind boggles :-) we may just have to wait? horrors, but otoh my sis-in-law isn't even getting on the plane with mine until next week!

This would, to me, imply an improvement to the existing device - if it was new hardware, then not everyone would be "VERY pleased" due to the potential cost of an upgrade. So, it definitely sounds like a firmware upgrade, but something a bit more than has been speculated on (things like Sype) so far...

I tend to disagree. It already has closed GTalk VoIP capability. I'm personnaly expecting open "SIP compliant" solution.

I can't say I know much about VOIP even though i've been using it for ages. As far as I know, Gizmo is SIP compliant and allows you to connect to an Asterisk server.

Key word in what I said in that quote was "ubiquitous". That's still some ways off.

And in response to the other post, nooo... I already ruled out that post as a hint. That was just an opinion.

At this point I am less interested in WHAT will be released... as WHEN it will be released... I am hoping something will be iminent very soon... after all, June 11th was 9 days ago!!

Frankly I will be happy with basic optimizations making the UI feel more responsive and improving DUN performance... Even though I **really** want better flash support, I seriously doubt we will see anything... I personally am not that interested in doing VOIP from my n800 but I think skype is pretty likely.

If that is the case what's the point in this game of " am I hot, am I cold" ?

There is SIP for the Nokia 770 and the N800: Gizmo. I use it (not with a Gizmo-Account, but with my existing SIP-account), so can you.
