I just installed the new firmware, but when the phone started up again, it would not accept my sim card ... what can I do? really need help!!!

Did you install it via the application manager, via the nokia software updater or via the flasher?

Weird, never heard that one before...
Word of advice, if it was throuh the NSU you did the update never use it again.

Notorious when it comes to bricking phones and make em behave just weird.

So what method did you use?

Try the flasher.

A lot faster and cleaner, IMHO.
