MeeGo changes absolutely nothing for Maemo 5 and N900. If anything, MeeGo's goals are the same as Mer's goals, which should make it easier for the community to install MeeGo on N900...

Heck, even Maemo 6 will still not be MeeGo it would seem. (And Maemo6 was never promised on N900)

recall the N900? now I have my N900 they can recall all the other ones if they want! mine isn't going anywhere...

wrong. my telco provided me with the equivalent voice numbers for all those tasks, since it is them who are actually required to do so. Remember that a pots phone connected to a rural gsm system is a GSM device.

If your telco sucks, then... sorry. Mine does too.

Well, the OTA update hasn't arrived in the UK yet, so I'm assuming that that's where the wiki is sourced from.

I don't honestly fancy doing it the 'hard way' with the flasher if I can possibly help it.

yes, esp recently, not only this one, look at some of those usb port threads, lots of 'just registered' claim their usb was broke(no offence to anyone whose port really broke)
