Hello everybody,
Before everything, sorry for my English : I'm French. I'd like to know if it exists a software to transmit a voice call over FM. To explain, I'd like to be able to answer to a call when I'm driving without take my phone in my hands.
Thanks

you could use a bluetooth reciever instead, on FM someone might even overhear it if they happen to tune in accidently nearby

but I like your idea nevertheless to do it over FM !

or the other altnernative way for now would be that you could connect a line in audio wire from the n900 to an fm transmitter an it will be able to play ur music as well as the calls on the radio. Or you could hook the n900 up to a cassette adapater that folk used to use for the portable cd players.
Again these are just ideas/solutions for now, until someone makes an app for the n900 to transmit the calls via its own fm transmitter.

This is a bug I created some time ago about this issue, please go ahead and vote for it, maybe it will get implemented. It would definitely be a nice feature - I have a nice car stand for my N900, but answering a phone call is a pain since the speaker is not loud enough (due to the car noise). Being able to hear the phone call over FM would solve this nicely - no bluetooth sets needed.

I hope the developers will add a button in the options to choose between speaker or FM.

I wonder if there are some legal issues behind this, as in, is it legal to transmit a conversation to FM when the person in the other end does not necessarily know it. Since anyone in the vicinity can pick it up easily, and in fact by chance.

@Soppa, if you have it over loudspeaker, some other people can overhear it too. I don't see the problem. Then again, some laws defy all logic..

The app may need some sort of feedback suppression, but good idea

Most definitely not a good idea to do it over FM. Anyone in nearby cars or with a cheap handheld radio set can overhear it. Using the audio out is a much better idea. However, if you really want the FM, I'm sure it won't be difficult.
