Can the standard media player on the n900 not receive a video stream? It can receive audio streams.

I am also trying to get media streaming on N900. (From sites like http://www.tvcatchup.com/). I have tried the built in media player and tried KM Player and neither display streams. Any ideas or info appreciated.
any media streamer availeable for N900?
I want to open site with live stream and then transfer that to N900 with WIFI and then see on tv with tv out cable..
it is possible?
