is there a way to tweak the power button in such a way that with one click u lock the screen and once more to unlock it?? instead of twice to lock and then once + swipe? [ like the way using the slider unlock on the right side of the phone does except jut using the power button ]

maybe double click for power button menu and hold for switching off?
btw shortcutd and tweakr dont do the job so dont bother asking to chec those out... tnx

You use the wroing button, the one on the right side is one click == screen lock. Or just turn the device by 90 degrees, that should do it too. ;-)

yes i know... but its hard using the slider while holding the phone with only one hand in portrait mode... thats y i said i want to tweak it in a way that i have the same behaviour as the slide locker ( side of phone ) on the power button. one click = lock one more click = unlock (no swipe screen)

Why don't you use switch from headphone plug's end?

Using phone overall with one hand sucks so much that I do not know what this little tweak there would help :P For phone usage it would make difference but overall...geee

Actually if you could double press the button on the top (on the side when you're holding it) to lock the phone that would be useful.

Wow, theres me thinking it was something to do with getting the back cover off! For the past 3 days I've been pressing the power button, clicking lock, then to unlock press power button and swipe! This is soo much easier.

"Double-pressing the power button does lock the phone.."

then y would i want to tweak it?!?! i want it to lock AND unlock it pressing it once each time!!! and not using the slider on the headphone side, or doin the swipe thing! JUST SIMPLY ONE POWER BUTTON CLICK = LOCK, ONE MORE POWER BUTTON = UNLOCK... EXACTLY LIKE USING THE HEADPHONE SIDE SLIDER DOES EXCEP USING THE POWER BUTTON INSTEAD! [ like on htc ]

I guess we all understand your questions, but most of us don't have an issue to do one more swipe to unlock or press the button one more time to lock.
Yelling at us while asking for help won't solve the problem
