Media Library has stopped showing any of my music or videos. I have performed the tracker reset as instructed in many other threads, but even after 2 days and multiple reboots and resets, there is still nothing showing when I go into Media Player.

If I run /etc/osso-af-init/tracker.sh start in XTerminal, I get back

Starting Tracker...Initializing trackerd...
Starting log:
File:'/home/user/.local/share/tracker/trackerd.log'
failed!

If I browse to the directory and run ls tracker.log is listed there.

Linux is completely new to me but what the hell!? Please help me!

mhm... maybe moving the log-file would help:

mv /home/user/.local/share/tracker/tracker.log /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/
(then you'll have the original file as a backup in .documents ^^)

and then try to reset the tracker again

you may have to be root (install rootsh and type "sudo gainroot" before resetting the tracker).

Still nothing. When I run the reset command, it doesn't list the tracker.log file as being changed or reset in any way. Is this normal?

Thanks b666m - does anybody else have any ideas? I'm about to throw the phone against the wall!

Not even reflashing has fixed this. Really disappointed with the phone right now and completely stumped as to what I should try next.
