Why does the included earphones/headphones have one ear piece cable way longer than the other?

if you have your cable on the left side...
you can stick the short piece in your left ear and with the other piece you can go around your (back) neck and stick it in your right ear. ^^
many in-ear-headphones are built this way.

The long piece wraps around the back of your neck to reach your other ear, to prevent the earphones falling forwards.

lol man are you one of the person who lived in the stone age? read the label carefully, one said to be L and one is R.

So you wear them the short one on the left and loop the long one behind your neck to the right ear.

Even a dog know why it's for.

Seriously do you need a manual or tutorial on how to wear the headphone?

This is important in places like the US where you are not allowed to drive with headphones (both) but its ok if you have one in ear as part of your hands free set. If they were both the same length then one would dangle and drag on the cord while driving. Having uneven lengths allows you to have the other across the neck dangling while not affecting (and actually relieving weight for) the shorter one while it is in the ear. It's nice.

Because of the weight relief it sits better than the old single earpiece headsets of my old Nokias.
