I'd just like something that lays flat....

Personally, I'd love to see a door that can both move the micro-USB connector, and use something like a PowerMat to do wireless charging.

A powered lens cap would be kinda neat.

The guys at Brando used to make such hardware mods for the n95-1 .. The stuff made for my n95 were good value - hats of to their economic engineering. Let me see if i have my contact still with them so that i can point him to this thread.

think about it, make the n900 a little thicker and flat on the bottom, incorporate a 4-6x optical zoom lens and a (much) larger capacity battery!

then we will overcome 2 big problems, poor battery life and (with some people) bad quality photos.. we would have stunning photos then plus more uptime (in between charging)

we'd have to find a battery that has the same width and height. the difference in thickness is what we could make up for. are there any Nokian batteries with those specs? im really wary of china batteries ..

another thing that i used to do with my n95-1 is to use a leather case. that way the back cover is not required and we could use the higher capacity battery until real custom made covers arrive. leather cases

i just checked with a noreve case and im pretty sure that we can accomodate a battery thats about 4mm thicker than the current one, if not more.

i used 4mm worth of cards under the battery and placed it on the case. it still sits almost where it used to and the flap can still be closed without excess force.

Indeed, Wirless Charging would move the already amazing N900 to another level for me
