Hi all,

I have a strange problem with my N900.

I don't have a bluetooth driver at my work , so i'm using USB bluetooth. However, i tried to send file from my PC to my N900. it worked perfectly.

Then i tried to transfer a file from my N900 to my PC , it show the following message when i select th pc icon to start sending "connection failed to PC" .

I tried this many times with different files. i tried even the same from the other PC , but it showing always the same message?!!!

My friend has Sony ericson , and othe chinese mobile , and even other nokia mobile , all has working perfectly and transfer the file from PC to Mobile and VICA VERSE.!!!!

Can any one help me in this?

Thank you in advance.

If you're running WinXP without Nokia suite, right click on the Bluetooth icon in the tray and pick "receive file" It should open a dialog box. Just follow the instructions. When you send from your phone XP should prompt for a location and if you want to change the file name, etc.

If using Ububntu, OBEX push doesn't seem to work, although I didn't bother to get it going. Just select the phone in the drop down (under the BT icon), click "browse files" and it acts like any other drive.

You're on your own for other OSs.

I'm running on Windows XP OS... and I already enable the "receive file" from the blue icon. but still the result the same.

to be specific .... i will say in the easy way...

1- I click the blue icone on PC and click " Receive file"
2- Pop up will appear on Windows XP saying waiting for the file.
3- Select photo or file from N900
4- Select share via bluetooth.
5- N900 start searching fro devices.
6- PC showing on the N900 screen as a device.
7- Select PC.
8- Just when i click on PC it will show Immediately " Connection failed to PC.

Similar problem here and no solution found yet. I connected to PC Suite with bluetooth when I first got my N900 and ever since then it works fine with the USB cable but NOT with bluetooth. Now when I select the paired PC on my N900 over bluetooth it gives the "Connection failed" message.

When I turn on bluetooth on the N900, the PC alerts me that the N900 is connected over bluetooth, and the N900 icon shows up in My Computer, but none of the folders in the N900 icon show up (they show up fine with the USB cable). None of the contacts show up in the contacts manager in PC Suite. Nothing works over bluetooth but works fine with the USB cable.

It's damn annoying.

I've had same problem since day 1 as well.

I can send from the PC >> N900 but not the other way with Win 7 32 bit . The Petrovich client doesn't work either.

This has come up before.
I was able to send files but my n900 was fussy as to which profile was identified first.
see a workaround here:
