Now AppWatch is working again
Good to know. Do you already have an estimated date for the update?
Could you add a feature that skips all the language files? There are a lot of zhko (or something like that) language packages which are not very important for most of the users...

Hard to estimate, depends on how soon I can get it to play nicely with Ovi. Really wouldn't like to promise a date, so let's just say soon

As for skipping language files... it already does that (and skips libraries, etc, too, see my comment on the previous page). The zhko packages were mislabeled as end-user applications, hence the mixup.

Maybe you can add a filter for zhhk? There are tons of them...
Currently the options menu is broken because of the QT update from PR1.1

Hi There,
I am a novice user and as such i dont install apps from dev repository.

Regarding Repository History function in appwatch:
1) is there any way to stop appwatch showing apps that are in dev?

2) will apps that have been promoted to testing be redisplayed with a newer date (so it shows at the top of the list)

Thanks

1) Yes and no. There is a 'repository filter' in the menu, but the menu is broken if you installed the PR1.1 update (e.g. if you see a fremantle/ prefix). This will be fixed in the upcoming update.

2) Yes. The history list does not know about the intricate relations of repositories, so for it, a promoted package is essentially a 'new' package in the other (testing or extras) repository.

Yes, there are intermittent repository problems which create a lot of failed passes (which can then lead to missed packages). Still working on making it more robust and coping with errors instead of just skipping, was hoping things will get more reliable in time, but sadly, that did not happen

I'm also noticing that loads of things are slipping by me :-(

Otherwise I love this app, hope the fix gets made soon :-)

Hi,

I don't seem to see any extras-devel packages appear at all.

I removed all repos apart from devel and it showed nothing at all.

Regards,

Alex

Global breakage, still not my doing. The way things are (not) working now, and the changes PR1.2 will bring will require a major rewrite of AppWatch, no easy way out, sadly If you want this to happen, state your interest here (or simply just press thank you on this post ).
