Let's look at the question in a more general way............ ............... ...........
So definitely £3 is an amount that can be thrown at something without much consideration.

I'm sorry. Whilst i can understand all the arguments being used regarding user base difference between Iphone & N900, i still cannot accept the over inflated price difference for this app. I dont know who is responsible for the pricing structure, but i seriously hope this is not what we can hope to expect with future pricing on ovi store.

Well not really i have so far downloaded about 15 apps mainly games, some extra codecs etc etc. £3 may be something you can just throw at something but if this were the case i already would have spent £45 on apps.
I cant believe people think that £6 would be reasonable, either way we have discovered it would prob not be that much. I have no problem in paying for apps in fact now i know the level pack is more than just a few extra levels I will more than likely give over my hard earned cash. i still think £3 for something that might not be the full game is still too pricey but that is my opinion. Maybe im a cheapskate

You have a $500 phone and can't afford 3 euros/pounds/whatever for a quality game for it? .

When Bioshock was released on the PS3 do you really think it would have sold the same level if they charged the customer extra. "im sorry this was originally for the xbox and its costing us extra to SELL you the game, so we are going to make you pay the difference"

Funny enough, if you look here, the original price for Bioshock XBOX360 is 19.99, whereas for PS3 it was 39.99. Amazon are also selling Bioshock 2 for the 360 for less than for the PS3 (though the RRP does seem to be the same there).
That brings another important point of AppStore practice: variable pricing. It is very common for AppStore vendors to have 2 or even 3 common price points that they use depending on the market conditions and internal targets and switch quickly between them on weekly basis.
So don't take the $2.99 price as a constant value.
