So after updating I started getting this error.
Mount failure!
/home/user/MyDocs/debian-m5-v3b.img.ext2 failed to mount on loop0
/sbin/qmount: line 195: dmlosetup: not found
mount: mounting /dev/dm-0 on /.debian failed: no such file or directory
Thinking it was the .ext2 img I replaced it. Didnt work.
And I couldnt find this error in the thread.
Open terminal type:
sudo gainroot
ls -al/.debian
if you get "no such file or directory then type:
mkdir /.debian

Good evening,
After performing the upgrade to the v3b image (which seems to have completed successfully)the LXDE menu ("start button") in Easy Debian is still gone or hidden. The 'processer used' bar graph is also missing. Someone mentioned earlier that I should upgrade to get the application menu back, but it did not help.
I cannot browse through the different applications within LXDE now.
Thank you again for any help.

doksng, the file that is causing your problems is
/home/user/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/top
Try uninstalling Easy Debian, deleting that file, and then installing Easy Debian again.
If that doesn't work, tap-and-hold on the side panel until you get the panel menu and remake the top panel from scratch, although that shouldn't be necessary.

As far as I know, Java should work with 3b, in both Ephiphany-gecko and Iceweasel. The first time you use it, it might take quite a long time to initialize. If you get the grey box, let it sit for a few minutes to see if you get the netx dialog asking you where to put the temporary files.

Qole, I saw a screenshot from early feb showing java applets running in epiphany, I think - should that still work in image 3b? On sites with java applets I get an 'applet not loaded correctly, please reload the page' error, and on the www.java.com applet test page, I just get a grey box. I was trying using epiphany-gecko, as it seems from other posts that iceweasel and epiphany-browser still have issues?
Can anyone suggest a possible cause or solution?
