Thanks for letting me know.

I uploaded it to the builder.

...

Or maybe not. It didn't build there for some reason.

This is great! to avoid battery drawdown is it possible to configure wpa_supplicant to avoid continuous scanning and perform it every x minutes?

Looks like it trying to build code for a tray icon, but fails because it isn't supported? When I used wpa_gui I don't think it had a tray. (In your repos)
Perhaps there is a configure flag for the tray icon.

Superb. thanks for doing the build. I used the private repo to test a scenario that has affected my ability to connect at work.

I added all the details here
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7764

Next step is to figure out clean/safe ways of managing dhcp/dns & co-existing with exiosting connection manager for 2g/3g

https://garage.maemo.org/projects/libicd-wpa/(though it needs extensive cleaning for it to be usable on n900)

Btw, LOL at the "timebomb" bug.

Does this package support CISCO LEAP authentication as well? My job uses exclusively this type of authentication and N900 doesn't support it out-of-the-box. I've read somewhere that it needs hardware support to work, is that true?

In a not so unrelated question, is there any way to remove a certificate once you added it to the device?

Hi Patola, I have the same problem. I managed to connect with wpa_supplicant on a wi-fi with the eap-leap protocol with this configuration file:

ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
# 1 - here, 0=driver, 2=driver++
ap_scan=1
#ctrl_interface_group=wheel
# may need to be 1
eapol_version=1
fast_reauth=1

network={
scan_ssid=1
mode=0
ssid="my-ssid"
proto=WPA
key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIP
eap=LEAP
priority=2
auth_alg=LEAP
eapol_flags=0
identity="myusername"
password="mypass"
}

my problem is also that my internet access has also a squid proxy. Since n900 doesn't know that I am connected via shell, I am not able to configure the proxy... so if there is any solution.... for now I don't know...
Sorry for my best english
