use the backup tool to save the contacts to your memory card , then use your pc to use pc suite to back them up , this way you have two hard copys of your contacts
if you use hermes 1st you can get your photos for your facebook contacts from there then backup and you have a nice backup of your contacts
for swapping phones use another handset to create your sim entrys then you have your sim loaded incase you have to swap handsets
sims cant hold alot of info ie one or two numbers and a email tops
