I've not seen a bug raised for this, so I thought I would ask.
I use MFE with my n900 and use the calendar app alot.
Over the last few days I've had major performance / battery life problems with the handset, desktop apps not working, crashes, reboots etc. I reflashed my phone (eMMC and latest firmware update) and still had these issues.
When troubleshooting I noticed in top that calendar was a CPU / mem hog so I tried removing it from the desktop. No luck, as hildon-home would crash everytime.
Demoralised by this issue, I tried one last flash update. I did not change the time on startup like I usually do and left it at 1st Jan 2009.
And... What do you know, everything worked!
So I removed the calendar app and set the system time to the present and everything still works.
There clearly is a problem with the calendar app on my phone, if I try to access it through sub menus now it hangs.
So I have the following questions:
Does anyone else have this issue?
Is there any way to purge data stored in my calendar to see if this helps?
Is there a bug raised for this issue, should I raise one?
There was a calendar updated in the latest firmware release, could this have caused the issue?
Thanks, your help getting calendar working again would be appreciated
Cheers
UPDATE: I can access calendar items through the PC suite. I removed some and the calendar app no longer starts at all (it thinks about it then bails out)
