I can't see how anyone uses OS2007HE on a 770 with the power issues. I downgraded back to 2006 a few minutes ago. Unless I'm mistaken, pressing the home button in 2007 brought up the task list, and holding it went home. In 2006, the functions are reversed. Any way to swap them?

Also, in 2007, the task list had close buttons on each item. Any 2006 love there?

Howabout the much, much improved Opera toolbar? Or the easy-on-the-eyes black keyboard?

I've been continually dumbfounded how long I can use my 770, running 2007HE, without recharging it. Easily an entire day with moderate use.

Whow! I think you need to step back and look at this scientifically. about 12 hours ago you posted:

So, Woot on Monday, get the 770 a couple days later, install os2007he on Sunday, use it most of the day, go back to os2006 Monday... and you're sure that these "power issues" that you had are so bad that you can't see how /anyone/ uses it? Sorry man, I do not see the science in your methods.

Well, I suppose my problem is that I'm thinking in PDA terms. My first handheld was a Palm III that lasted two weeks on a set of AAAs. If I use my T|X heavily, I'll need to charge every three days or so. If I think in laptop terms, I guess it's not bad. So I retract my statement. I can see how people can use 2007.

Now, thinking in PDA terms is beneficial in other ways. For instance, Most reviewers felt that the 770 was too slow, but I think it's great compared to my T|X.

i don't really have any power issues on the 770 with the HE, although there are times when something loads badly and it makes the 770 get really warm and eat up the batteries really quickly. Normally though, I'll get about 4 hours of use if I were to use it continuously.

Yeah, I don't think continuous use is the issue. It's that there's no sleep mode with 2007 (correct me if I'm wrong.) With 2006, when I slide the cover on, she sleeps as intended.
