A new build, didn't want to push it to -devel if it doesn't help.

Gent's, ladies, fellow Nokia users.. I have had some trouble with Knots. But, I'm also lacking patience. I have Orb installed, and that seems to work ok for me. I'm sure Knots is wonderful software, once configured correctly. However I wish to uninstall it. I'm on a Win Xp pc. I do not see an uninstall in the control panel listing. Is it more complicated than just deleting the Knots folder in Program files?? Or would little "remnants" be left behind?

Just delete the knots folder and the menu item and there will be no sign of it ever been installed.

Ok I am going through the instructions for Windows when I come to this:

cd c:\
git clone git://github.com/solmis/knots.git

But when I do this I only get

>>>
c:\>git clone git://github.com/solmis/knots.git
'git' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
<<<

If you are using Vista/7, i think git must be installed as administrator or it won't add git to path. You can try using full path "c:\Program Files\Git\bin\git.exe" clone git://github.com/solmis/knots.git (replace the path with correct path) or just use the installer.

I think I just spotted the problem. When installing GIT on Windows 7 I just accepted all of the defaults but there is an option that you have to select to have the path added.

Also, on Win 7 you mustn't change the path to c:\

Just open cmd which opens to C:\Users\YourUserName and run from there.

>>>Just point your browser to http://localhost:1978 and add your media under settings.
<<<

But I get a page not found error in my browser. What is the first thing I need to check?
