I just got the device yesterday and all was working fine until late last night. I had been using WiFi and AT&T's 2.5(edge) connection the whole day. During that usage time, I upgraded Maemo 5 and downloaded some apps from Ovi Store/Maemo.org repositories. I got home late last night and before heading off to bed I decided to check the weather (connected to 2.5(edge)) but found that my internet wasn't working. Here is what I've done to try to get 2.5(edge) working again:

*reset to original settings
*restored to my very first backup where there weren't any problems to begin with.
*unistalled all apps that I put on
*paid my phone bill

I've been up ALL morning trying to figure this thing out and I can't. I even (SIM)locked myself out and had to restore with PUK key!! I got that solved but now I'm back to my original problem... how do I get 2.5(edge) working again???

I have network and phone settings set to automatic but should I perhaps enter settings in manually? Help!

Sincerely,
John J.

No simcard crossed out... i can make/receive calls and send/receive text messages. Funny thing is that when im done with a call, a yellow notification pops up saying "no data connection."

For my connection, it connects to "AT&T Internet." I'm curious, what does yours say?

Thanks for your reply,
John J

what are you APN settings for At&t internet? have you tried using FAPN to maybe make a duplicate apn?

I'm sorry I dont know how to check for APN or FAPN settings. How do I do that? The only way I know how to check for any kind of settings is in the "internet corrections." Here are some screenshots of what exactly my settings look like on my phone:

This is what it looks like when I connect to AT&T Internet

These shots are what I have for settings

Does this look like what you have on your phone? Thanks again for the help!

yeah they match. do you have FAPN OR FMMS installed? if you have FAPN, and have the AT&T MMS access point created, you can try to use that to access the internet. it works just as well as the regular internet. or you can try to remake a duplicate AT&T internet apn with the FAPN.

I have the same exact problem. My net stopped working around 6AM this morning. If I am on AT&T internet it will not work, and I cannot receive phone calls but I can make calls. If I disconnect AT&T internet and go to Wi-Fi it will receive calls again. I contacted AT&T support and they told me I have a bad SIM card, but if I try the SIM in a different phone it has no issues.

I tried a traceroute to my phone's IP and the entire thing ends up timing out, maybe it's a network problem with AT&T. I'm also on the east coast (Connecticut)
