Thanks for this!

Some time ago I installed GNU Emacs by following your instructions at http://sumoudou.org/0/14.html.

I have -- as also mentioned in another post -- had problems with the non-sticky keys in emacs. I could live with that, but a related problem is even worse. When I write on my Bluetooth Keyboard, the layout is not fully supported. An example is the Alt key. It works in other programs (such as the terminal and vim) but not in emacs.

Have you any idea how to solve this problem which is somewhat of a show stopper?

Best regards and thanks for the initiative with kumatux.org which I'll probably try out later this week when time allows me to.

This is actually not an Emacs problem, but an X problem on the N900. I tested by compiling urxvt and the keys are not sticky in it as well. Don't know what makes them sticky, but basically they are not sticky in plain X apps.

I'm not sure of this. If you say it works in other apps, it should in Emacs. What does xev report for when you hit Alt, does it say it's Alt or Meta?

Can we use Emacs in fullscreen mode (like web browser for example)? If not, is it possible to add this feature?

Yes, you can switch to fullscreen if you install wmctrl (if I remember correctly, it is not in the repositories, but you can find a link for it in this post
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...trl#post435617

From emacs you can then run the following shell command to get in and out of fulscreen mode:

Code:
wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -b toggle,fullscreen
(ofcourse you can create a keybinding for this if you wish to).
