is there anyway to keep the display lit for two minutes. its annoying to have to physically touch the screen to keep it running.

THen select settings

Then select Display

Then select the Backlight time-out option. Hope this helps!

there is no option to keep the back light on indefinitly. even when the phone is charging the program will close at a set interval.

srry i meant i need to keep the display lit for more than two minutes so i can play games on my tv without touching the screen every two mins...

There is an option "Display stays lit when charging" in the same menu I referenced before that is unchecked by default.

Check that and it should fix your issue if you leave it on the charger.

I have only had this phone for a few weeks. So I do not know the internal workings of all the system. My guess is there is a config file (as with most linux systems) somewhere for the backlight timeout. You might try researching this.

I will try to see what I can find, but no promises. Sorry I could not help more.

Check this thread. There is a backlight app in the repositories.

"Increase backlight timeout period?"

Simple Brightness Applet v1.1-1maemo0

This is the applet that will keep the backlight on. You can download it from the download section of this website. It is under the desktop based apps.

Good luck and hopefully this is a better soultion for you.
