Does anyone know if there is a way to individually change the status of the voip accounts rather than just globally setting them all to "online" or "offline" or whatever.

I have a skype account and a SIP account and don't always want the two online - I just can't find a way to do this other than unticking the "enabled" box in the account setup, which is not very elegant or convenient a solution.

I'm not sure about SIP, but you can add a custom status where Skype is either enabled or disabled. Tap the status area, Availability, New status and you can set each account to various statuses (Skype has Online/Away/DND/Invisible/Offline, for example). I guess that SIP accounts should show up here as well.

SIP accounts do show up there also and works exactly as you describe.

Ok, I see what you mean there. I did not realise you could put Skype offline there.

I don't have that button for my SIP account though... it is a straight VOIP/SIP account with a landline number and doesn't support status messages or IM - perthaps this is why the "status" option s not showing up.

If that is the case then I'm only able to switch all off or just Skype off which is a pain. Any further ideas? My SIP provider is sipgate.co.uk if that helps.

Cheers

Strange. Mine is just a SIP account to our office asterisk pbx and it shows up along with my yahoo, google, and skype accounts. Here is a screen shot showing my facebook chat, google chat, SIP, and Skype.
