I can confirm:

1) It`s working with previous versions of Sygic maps!
2) It also works with the pocketgpsworld speed cameras with modded .ogg files!

Sorry if this question has already been answered in this thread, I've not the whole thing. But does anyone know what happens if you buy Sygic and then lose you're phone? Unfortunately I lose my phone more than most and although I'm still on my first N900 (touch wood) if I had to shell out a new 60 euros on top of a insurance premium each time I probably wouldn't get it.

Not on a FAT filesystem though.

Many thanks for taking the time to answer questions here. Do you know if there are any plans for a Diablo version? I bought the Fremantle version earlier tonight and I'm very happy with what I see so far, but I would love (enough to buy another licence) to also be able to run it on an N8x0's larger screen.

It seems to require fewer resources than Navicore/Wayfinder or Ovi maps (hardly surprising since it's a native app for a change!) and it's a GTK+ application so porting it to Diablo is hopefully going to be easier than Harmattan.

Never mind your Sygic quick get that plane trip changed - you are after a ticket to Johannesburg.

Also I dont think sygic has maps of South Africa at all - not on N900 or any other platform they support.
It ss South Africa 2010, but Brazil 2014
By then we will have Meego 2548

Do Sygic has South american maps in previous/other platforms? I was checking and I could only find Colombia, Brazil and Mexico...

yes it works with older map too...just put them in the map folders. Make sure to have your MLM file in there as well. Run Sygic and it will ask you select which map to use. selectour map and put in proper activation info. You may have to contact Sygic for a set serial because the old serial is tied to your old phone.

good luck.

That`s what I asked the first time!....ehehe

Google is your friend.A simple search will solve your questions.

if you go to your MAPS folder in the internal memory of your phone, you`ll find folders like 'gbr', 'esp' (these are the maps corresponding to the country).Inside you`ll find an .mlm file and a .pak file ( that`s the actual map). When you open up Sygic for the first time you need to register that .mlm file with the map file.....for that you need to call Sygic

AND YES, you can use maps from Symbian phones as well!.....I`m using my Cyprus map from my 5800 and it works great.
