My Nokia System Software Updates repo address is https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/205

Can someone confirm this as correct? New to Nokia/n900, Linux user since 2004?

TIA
That's the URL for Vodafone versions, so you must have the Vodafone firmware variant installed (did you buy the phone second-hand?). You'll need to do a full reflash with the UK generic (203) firmware (which is a pain in the *ss as Nokia still haven't made any updated firmware available for the UK).

New unit, sealed from Amazon. Possibly an unwanted upgrade. I'll wait for Vodafone to push their update out.
Thank you.

My firmware version is 3.2010.02-8.002 <- No other updates here in Ireland.
I recently update to this version after I brought the phone. I expect differences due to legal/Language issues in each country.

i bought my phone on a vodafone contract in uk and had the update ages ago! maybe it was before vodafone started pushin their shitty branded FW. I remember reading on nokia forum that with symbian updates they're delayed on uk networks due to stricter approval processes, and then delayed even more by brandin. why do they have to mess with already sometimes flaky firmware!

I gather people think a big update is coming from Nokia and this is why the UK got the 'pre update' as im gonna call it

What can we expect from Nokia on the big one then?
Click here for the 36 page discusion on whet the next big release may or may not do
