I'm playing with Sygic MM9 now on my N900. Not 100% happy so far, some (early) gripes :

- the routing can be made more intelligent. Now it produces routes, though the fields, through the countryside. Motorway is fine of course but the way to get from my place to motorway is far from 'fast' or 'economical'. I tried both settings. Only a satnav can come up with these routes...

- at a bit higher altitude (more zoom out) lots of detail disappear. even when roads should still be visible, I can only still see village/city names. A bit bizarre.

- no way to use the in MM9 the address data from the phone contacts as route destination/way points ?

-or no other way around, maybe a contacts plug-in, on the detail screen of the contact, include a button : "navigate to here". Would allow more use of contact address data.

But I'm happy I can at least have a 'proper' satnav program on my N900. I do think the visuals, routing quality and integration can be better. But I guess we'll have to wait for version 10 and/or aura to get a bit more eye candy and maybe better integration/intelligence.

Right now it's a bit like the N900 itself, good already as it is but it has a lot more potential

I think overall good value.

Thanks to Sygic to finally releasing it themselves and not waiting for Nokia !

It would be nice to be able to cycle through the poi searches. For example if I am searching for a chinese restaurant, there is no way for me to look where the chinese restaurant is relative to my position unless I click on it. Google does a very good job at this by having the ability to cycle through your searches.

This is very useful when I am traveling on an interstate and looking for a stopover place for a break. and Sygic is missing this sorely.

Ok this sucks, just purchased it and its just sitting at 0% of the download... I assume that since they now opened up the US maps as well as the European they are probably getting slammed!!

Good for them though, this product is well overdue... Hope it lives up to the hype when I finally get it downloaded.
