can you code a version that uses data from oebb.at instead of bahn.de.... beacause i use it in austria and some trains are wrong....

example... fahrplan told me there is a train @ 20 pm... and there where no train.... last one was @ 19pm.... then i was 6 hours walking home....

I thought they were using the same database in the background? Anyway, I too would love to have the option to use oebb.at

Both uses the "HAFAS" backend internally but there are differences in the data.

You have more accurate data if you use the database (website) in your region.

I noticed it while testing support for munichs train website. there are huge differences in informations you can get from bahn or mvv (munichs train thing)

Oh, and some other helpful hint/minor issue: Your buttons look "flat" (at least in version 0.0.5 which I have installed here), which is the result of either using GtkButton instead of HildonButton or not setting a size for the HildonButton. You can use "finger" and "thumb"-sized buttons, and it will make the UI look more gorgeous.

A (very old) screenshot shows the difference: HildonButton with size vs. GtkButton (ignore the text on the buttons, that screenshot was made for a different issue). At first, there is not much different, but it will look much better on the device with the current theme if you use hildon themeing.

A quick (and dirty) workaround if you don't want to mess with HildonButton, etc.. is to use gtk_widget_set_name() on every button and use "HildonButton-finger" for the finger size or "HildonButton-thumb" for the thumb size.

Docs: HildonButton API

thanks for the info about the buttons after setting the name thing i notice the change.

the strange thing is on the other hand, that i use mostly
"hildon_picker_button_new".

I will try to get the hildon styled buttons working and looking good to 0.0.8. (just released 0.0.7)

Edit:

grml, the button itself looks better but with the bunch of h and vboxes everything looks bad in a whole. One time i got huge spaces the other time the button texture just repeats

The "problem" why i don't get hildonized button theme is i defined every button as AUTO (height or both). this "destroys" the default finger ot thumb height.

with everything on auto all buttons have the same height and it looks even.

I guess i will drop that and wait until i port everything to QT (planed for FW1.2 release and QT 4.6 support)

the station and search buttons are thumb size, because they are important i know, but i think they are a bit big but ok i can live with it.

feedback from others ?

if i get no feedback or only good one i will add your patch in the next version.
