No, I wasn't able to find any app for facebook either (other than the widget which comes preinstalled on the N900)

However, you can try accessing one of these facebook sites:

- Lite Site: http://lite.facebook.com
- Touch Site: http://touch.facebook.com
- Mobile Site: http://m.facebook.com

They all give you basic access to your fb profile so you can see your friends' status updates, photos, etc.
Personally i like the Lite version because it has a good screen size for the N900 and it aslo allows chat throu 3G.

And you if you don't know this already, you can use Facebook Instant Messaging by using a Jabber account on the N900.

no facebook app. Many here will tell you the N900 does not need a Facebook app because it has a full web browser but nothing could be further from the truth. Use the one on blackberry and then try using the web browser on N900. The blackberry facebook app is like the comfort and luxury of a Bentley while using the N900 browser is the comfort and luxury of a Ford Fiesta.

Not exactly true. If you read this topic and linked thread then you probably know:

Browser+integrated jabber+integrated gallery/video with sharing + facebook widget

.edit
But I agree that one application for all above could be faster.

Just because you can access the full site doesn't mean it's the most optimal way to access and interact with the information within that site.

I think it's a wrong metric to use, especially on a service that you want to use very frequently (more than once a day) on your mobile. Yes, I call facebook a service, because their site is just one way of presenting and interacting with all the information and services available.

Facebook is barely used here, in Brazil. Orkut is the champion in social networking in my country, and Android just got an Orkut application from Google.

I couldn't care less about facebook but I'd be very glad if there were some app for Orkut. The Google app for Android is quite comfortable.
