If you have enabled the extras-devel and extras-testing repositories you can disable them in the application manager. This should free up some space (11.5MB).

If you have a lot of applications installed you can uninstall any you don't use/need and free up some more room.

Also have a look at this thread please...

small tip to get you out of this emergency. Remove your SIM card. Restart your phone without it, and go to app manager. Open Applications Catalogue and disable ALL your catalogues (click on any lit ones and check "disabled"). This should get the phone moving. Uninstall the apps you do not need.

If rootfs are full then you probably can't even uninstall normally, so you will need to do what I told you first.

I dunno. The only time I had a similar problem error with the exact notification was when my rootfs was full. Your rootfs is DIFFERENT from your 32GB, in case that was your idea. Your rootfs is 256. If you can truly install apps, install Conky and check the stats of your rootfs.

Other than that, I dunno how to help Tried though Good luck mate.

You don't have to free your rootfs unless you fill it up. It's not a bad idea to watch how much rootfs space you have. The most convenient way to do that is to run the healthcheck program (which you have to install first, of course).

There is an article in the wiki (wiki.maemo.org) on freeing up rootfs space.
