I've tried the fixes others have suggested and my touch screen will still not work well enough. Keypad navigation only works well for some situations and so I'm really in need of a new touch screen. My n810 is out of warranty. Have any of you used a repair service for this? Who? Were you happy with their work?

Thanks,

Killick

I have not tried repairs w/o warranty.
I sent my n810 in after it just stopped booting and I was super impressed, they just sent me a new one after determining they couldn't fix my old one, had the new one in about a week, give or take a day. I didn't need my receipt or box or anything.

anyway that probably doesn't help you, but thought i'd throw it out there.

I had the same issue - touchscreen not working and send it to nokia usa for repair. they send me a refurbished one back. Last year, the touchscreen problem started on the n810. i opened up the n810 and found that the issue was a bsd lcd ribbon cable . i am trying to source this cable.
good thing is that, if i give slight pressure on the ribbon cable, the touchscreen works perfectly...

I found a source for the ribbon cable. I replaced mine but the fix only lasted about a week. I suspect that something I did during replacement shifted things enough to let it work for a bit.

I also tried blasting the ribbon cable connector with a heat shrink blower to see if some heat might reflow the solder on the surface mount but that didn't help. It was probably not hot enough.
