Hi all!

Here at work we are using proxies with authentication. I configured the proxies in the connection and when i open the browser i get the proxy auth dialog, i authenticate and surf.
However, that doesn't work when i want to use the repositories (or Maemo mapper).
How can i configure the N800 so either i stay authenticated or i can re-authenticate when installing from the repos?

Ton.

If you use apt-get from the terminal (as root) you should be able to use an authenticated proxy by doing something like:

Code:
export http_proxy=http://user:password@proxy.example.com:port
However, when I used to work at a company with authenticated proxies, applications which realise they existed were the bane of my life.

HTH,

Andrew
