Right now if you need it and if a simple shortcut to AutoDisconnect on the Desktop is not enough for you, you can download the app "Desktop Widget" and then use the following commands (when disconnected to the internet) :

Enable AutoDisconnect :

Code:
gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/autodisconnect/param_enabled true
Disable AutoDisconnect :

Code:
gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/autodisconnect/param_enabled false
Cheers

Setting up rules by time of day.
Lets say that it dont autodisconnect at all between 8-18. Or just autodisconnect WLAN and let 3G be (makes "always on" exchange work properly)
Why not, but it won't be implement soon except if a lot of people want this functionality.

Till then you can use a cron job and plays with the command I give in my previous message

Would it be possible to make AutoDisconnect a Settings applet (appearing on the bottom in an "Extras" group), like Tweakr?
Hi. Yep it's already planned (See https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?at...53&func=browse).

I just have to figure how to do it with Qt

Personally, I'd love to disable Autodisconnect when my N900 is charging, or put another way, only have it active when running on battery power. IMHO

As previously said, it will be implemented in the next version (in 1 week or 2)

Perhaps the authors of Tweakr or the LED notification editor app could help you with that.

Please help autodisconnect not work on my N 900.
In x terminal i get this results:

~ $ gconftool-2 -R /apps/autodisconnect
param_enabled = false
param_interval = 5
param_connection_gprs = true
param_notifications = false
param_min_bytes = 512
param_connection_wlan = true

@brera
It looks like you have not enabled the application. There is a check-box "Enable" in GUI. Toggle it ON.
