Just modifying Alpha theme will never give you a good theme, on top of that they are a hassle to package and on top of that you will have to modify every file because the files in the Alpha folder are copy written by nokia. So you can't leave any part of the theme intact and be able to release it to other people. I suggest starting over with MADDE or you are just wasting your time.

right and like i said before madde/theme maker will not run on my pc or my laptop which is why i resorted to doing it this way.
id of loved to use a program instead. I do plan on changing every file so nothing is left of the original nokia theme.
need a little help, for some reason when i change the gtkrc image path i end up with the picture below with my menus. ive got the images in /images/ in my dir but refuses to use em, is there another file i need to change aswell? maybe causing a conflict or something?
just like it cant find the images. but the path is right...

well just refuses to install lol...log below
Anyways i think i sorted that little problem with a bit of common sense....was editing the gtkrc.cache file as well and that was my problem lol....makes a cache when it boots up the gtkrc when used, defintaly a moment where my head hit the desk
EDIT: forgot to add, im not just replacing the alpha folder sort of lol, since the files are now in another directory, if i dont change it, it will use alpha.

The netword indicator is hard-coded white, you can only change it with the Custom Operator Name widget.
