i have the following issue:
tried to input some numbers in a form on a webpage (a payment on a e-bank) but i had to give up because i could not input the correct amount ... difficult to explain, adding or deleting a character was changing the number adding extra characters or commas
i had to format an image in abiword ... wanted to change the size and again ... input was out of control

can anyone help?

thanks!

I think his problem is. He tries to delete/backspace some characters but instead of deleting them, the n900 add characters or commas, on a web form (e-banking). This sounds like Num lock to me on a laptop keyboard (the one that has no physical numLock, but actually you have to press Fn+Numlock to get the numPad on the side).

I don't yet have a n900 so I can't say if this is correct or not, but I'm more than 50% sure this is the case.

Does this happen with the hardware or virtual keyboard? Just wondering if you are experiencing bug 7399.

Without exact and clear steps everybody can just guess, but not help.

In some online forms, I have found just using the Fn/blue arrow button (whatever it is called) prior to hitting the blue keys isn't enough. You have to hold it down while pressing the number/symbol you want. Same as the caps key, some forms require you to hold it down and press the letter you want to get a capital.
