hey guys just wanna start off by saying loving the n900 so far and this problem is'nt a huge one but is very annoying. Recently since installing the touchsearch app. which lets you search online from your desktop, every so often my internet connections list pops up and stays there until I cancel it. I tried uninstalling touchsearch, changed all the internet settings but to no avail. its like the n900 thinks it should scan for connections even though I have specified not to. Maybe a firmware update will sort it out, any other ideas would be much appreciated. cheers

Joiku did that to me, not saying this is the fix - but a firmware flash sorted it out for me - i found even though i set it to auto-use a connection, it kept resetting that choice.

thanks for the input but after much researching i have resolved the issue, the problem was with the rss feed updating every 2 hours even after i set it to always ask. This is a bug which came with the pr 1.1 update and i think there is a fix for it out there somewhere, i just disabled my rss feed altogether. I bet alot of people out there are having the same issue as rss is so popular.
