Having previously owned the N95, there were apps from most of the betting companies for betting on your phone. Last week I tried opening the paddypower website (www.paddypower.com). Instead of opening the site it comes up with a file download dialogue box:

Name bet
Size Unknown
Type text/vnd.wap.wml
From http://www.paddypower.mobi

Can anyone tell me why this website isn't working? It is the same on MicroB as well as Firefox.

That looks similar to what I would get going to Facebook. It would always try to download a php file instead of going to the home page. The problem was that Facebook was detecting that I was on a mobile browser and was directing me to the mobile site.

The way I got around it was to install an app called HideUserAgent. It allows you to change the string that browsers use to identify themselves to a web site. By changing the string to something like "Maemo" I was able to get in. I then bookmarked the URL that was in the location box so that I could switch the user agent string back to normal. Instead of going to "facebook.com" I use a shortcut to the bookmark.

I can't get the site to work without the HideUserAgent enabled. Just install it and leave it enabled and you should be able to view the site just fine.

I would also recommend putting money on USA over England on June 12.
