Guys, it's not gonna come this week, Friday is a day off here in Finland and it would anyway be a bad day to release a big firmware update. So everyone, just take it easy and enjoy what you have right now.

Late April: Nokia agrees on defect and set target release for fixes to be 1.2.1. Thread grows to 70 more pages.
May: Few days before 1.2.1 release Nokia announces 1.2.1 would not be released to minimize integration costs since 1.3 is coming with turn-by-turn so 1.2.1 fixes would be there too. Thread is being renamed to 'Speculation about 1.3), 50 more pages added.
June: Nokia keep silence, thread grows.
July: Garmin releases mini bluetooth device for n900 with GPS lock support and preinstalled Syberia maps.
August: Nokia announce MeeGo will be release soon so there is no sense in 1.3. Thread is being renamed.

November: Google releases Nokidroid OS for n900.
Very late December: Nokia releases MeeGo 1.0 with no ussd, no turn by turn, ovi 1.0 with no get a fix possibility, and not working multitouch)
February: Nokia releases minor 1.1 update which fixes nothing. Thread size is now above 1000 pages.
March 31: Talk is waiting for MeeGo Firmware 1.2 which is coming soon.

to be continue
so what I said previously is now happening:
at least someone got the April 1 pr1.2 widget

I feel the silence around this PR1.2....
To be sincere if I let you know what feeling give me that waiting I probably get banned on this forum. A lot of stress and that feeling of the impossiblity to change things made me so nervous this days.
Finally it seems that the guys from Nokia don't give a **** about those feelings that they are producing around many of their customers.

WHY this update is more waited than others? Because it seems finally N900 is more approached by his value, now that some unbelievable bugs were corrected! AND wtf now we can have at least decent ussd codes (hopefully) without to install another and another third party app. Great stuff those ussd widget but can you imagine how much libraryes and python stuff you may put in your phone to obtain the final result: revealing mistery about your ballance! I better buy the cheapest phone in the market to check my ballance from time to time than to "fill" my phone with a lot of small packages... or maybe install this new PR1.2 who solve the problem.
There are a lot of needed bug fixes needed who PR1.2 solved.
The only problem is that the update is missing.
ONLY THEY KNOW WHEN... THEY WILL THINK TO US, MORTALS!

Good point. But I think that this software update once is rolled out the people of Nokia haven't anything to do. Thousands of phones will be updated and if the software has any problem there is no solution. I think that the only reason for delay could be internal testing or waiting to increase "Desire" on the update for Marketing purposes.
Hope we have the update soon.Althought I think that is a great computer-phone, I'm starting thinking on alternatives. We can't be always in Beta status and we need an excellent software running a powerful hardware. I

Next firmware will bring QT 4.6.x that will be a nice chance to get more apps and better UI

Just my opinion... Nokia hurry up!!!

I'm not sure if this is April fool, but i'll take it. First you are missing much in life if you feel stressed by your phone not getting update.
Second, non of the cell phone manufacturers tell in advance when the update will come and there's a reason for it. They will release it when it's ready.

Because there are more N900 owners now than there were when PR1.1 was released, I suspect. There are also legions of new users in the past couple of months now that Nokia has resolved some supply issues.

Yes, I also feel abandoned. It's irresponsible for Nokia to do that. Currently there are lots of broken packages due to the lack of release of PR1.2 and it is clearly slowing the N900's momentum: lots of blogs about Nokia N900 seem to be releasing less news than the usual since they're also forced to wait.
