And I don't mean the pain of using the HWR! I've been using mine at home a lot since I am still on holiday and the weather has been bad and I find I have physically sore hands and shoulders from it. Especially when sitting up in bed using it. Anyone else found this or am I just a wimp I am getting a small USB folding keyboard I want to try hacking to use with it and I think that will help.

I have pretty much the same thing. I opted to use just fingertip as much as possible and use a normal pen instead of the given one if I need to do something that requires accuracy for a longer period. I use the pen that has a relatively sharp cap so that the cap is closed. OTOH my wife uses the given pen while playing mahjong, which can easily last for an hour or two (not the games but the session). An no complaints from her. It might just be the way I keep the given pen in my hand or something. Perhaps the given pen is too delivate for men, but not so for women.

l have started to use a pen sized stylus from an old wacom tablet. Since it is much larger it sits more comfortably in the hand.

When writing with the original Nokia stylus I often get a sense of strain on the back of the hand, maybe because I need to apply more pressure to keep the smaller stylus stable.

If you are going to use the 770 for any period of time - especially if you are using HWR, get a stylus pen. There are many of these now available from the major ink pen companies, and they can be found either in the electronics section or in the stationary section of many retail outlets.

Since I have had more of these type gadgets than I can remember (Starting with the original Apple Newton), I have dozens of these around.

DO NOT use a pen with the cap on or any other device that is not specifically designed as a PDA stylus. Screen scratches can result.
