I just read that Google have developed a new HTML5 interface for Gmail (primarily intended for iphone and ipad users):

Does anyone have a direct link to the new interface? I would love to see if it works well on the N900.

Well if the link remains only for iPhone, we could change our useragent of the browser to match iPhone and access it

Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.21.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.4 Mobile/7B334b Safari/531.21.10

You can set your user agent to this. doesn't work very well though, but looks better.

can microb or mobilefirefox support html5?

what about the new browser in mego that is webkit based, anyone know if it'll suppport video tag with a bunch of sites going to that instaed of flash?

Might not look too well, but it does look usable. Wonder of any of the devs for email apps are takig notice of GUI, native stuff needs to be smoother like this.

Is it possible to get to that just by going to a specific address, instead of changing the user agent?

I know you can use https://mail.google.com/mail/x/gdlakb-/gp/?shva=1 for the iphone version. id guess that there is a link like this for the ipad version. can anyone post the link they get redirected to when using the ipad useragent?
