Would very much like to get this app installed on my N800 (OS2008).

I'm technically OK, but not in a Linux way! Still, ready to have a go.

Can anyone point me to a step-by-step set of instructions for installing the package and its dependencies?

Many thanks.

Easy...

goto http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/flipclock/ on your N800 and click the Install button.

Just want to check something quickly as have done a quick search of the thread but haven't really come up with an answer - don't have time to read the thread in total depth now unfortunatley - have also looked at the bugzilla but it seems to be not recently updated?

Anyway, I installed Flipclock a couple of days ago and think it's something I'll want to use in the future BUT while it was installed my screen backlight stayed on (despite being set to go off after 30 secs, or indeed whatever I set it too..). Uninstalling the app has solved this issue -I wondered if it was a known bug or just a peculiarity of my system? Also, I did get a couple of issues with the alarm going off at seemingly random times which may be another bug or just my system (I have had both SES and Alarmed installed at different times but have uninstalled and not reflashed since, so it's possible something there was conflicting?). If someones come across either of these possible bugs before please let me know - or point me at the post where you saw them mentioned! Thanks

That would be insomniac mode. This doesnt work on N900 at the moment.

I dont seem to have this issue after turning this off in settings.

Umm I installed Flipclock from Extras and unfortunately got Exitclock.
It shows up but when the seconds indicator comes to the end and it should flip it exits the program. Night button also exits the program. Settings and alarm panel work ok.

Otherwise really nice looking clock, hope to get it running, any ideas what could be wrong?

EDIT: I'm doing this on N900, latest firmware

I think this is an issue with the older version of the flipclock.. make sure you have extra-devel in your repository... or use the deb link from the first post...
the version should be 0.9.7-7

Insomniac mode not working is a known issue.. currently there's a bigger fish to fry... FM radio then insomniac mode will probrably be next.

hi... hmm ok 49 pages to much to read. just let me mention some things i recognised after just installing your app.

first off all, if you are either in the options or in the menu to setup the alarm... you should make it clearly visible how o get back to the clock view. took me a while to find a way and i'm still not sure if swiping is the right way to get back.

any chance to have an option to choose a playlist as something that should be played, instead of just one MP3?
and one addition to this could be to make it user selectable if the playlist should be played in order or randomly.

cu assetburned
ps. if something was mentioned before and _not_ ignored then ignore this please, if not then see it as a feature request. :-)
