It is always a good idea to read user manuals before starting using complex devices like N900
It is just a wrist strap eyelet. On pg 15 of my US user guide.
EDIT: My bad; due to too much excitement from the newly arrived phone

There is a very thin line going down the outside the keyboard frame's bottom left corner on my N900. See attached picture.
Is this a crack (this is what worries me)? Or is this something that is on every N900?
