Hey
I haven't try the facebook widget since at least 2 months. Yesterday morning I installed it, and big surprise, it's not a battery drainer anymore? 24h now that it's installed and running, with email fetching every 2 hours, meteo every 4 hours, and 2G always on, and my battery is still at 50%
Any thoughts ?

Has this actually turned into anything useful yet. When i first got it it was just a feed of activities, which is pretty useless. i have a fair few friends and dont need to know every time they go up a level in Farmville.

If it would show number of notifications and inbox it would be useful

click on meeages and opens you messages and the same for notifications.

In this case i think a full blown app would be good. I know i can access the full website in the Browser. I love this fact but i would like to simply check my phone and see if i have messages without the need to go to the website

@Neegs

A standalone Facebook application is in development.
Have a look here

Its still a work in progress, but the author "w00t" is very actively making it better.

Try it, and suggest improvements and bugs(in that thread) if you find any to help make it better

Ironically, it's this Facebook widget that initially encouraged me to start work, by virtue of it being fairly useless.

I do plan to incorporate notifications/inbox, and I also plan to (eventually) replace the regular desktop widget.

Thanks for the plug, un-named-user
