If you look into the headphone slot or whatever it's called, you will se 2 gold like metal pieces. One of them transfers some of the sound and the other is a button with the N900 uses to recognise the headphones... Try with a needle or something similar and pull the button a little bit down so it will be easier for it to establish contact with the headphone plug. At least this worked for me

I got a bit of a problem. I don't get any sound through my headphones when I plug em in, instead the sound either comes out through the speaker or if by some miracle it does come out through the headphones the sound is really soft. I am not entirely sure what the problem is so any help is appreciated.
