I have managed to run ankimaemi. Installed required dependencies (not mentioned in deb file) and fixed one bug to make "Open..." menu work.
There are still some problems, but it works for me.
There won't be any detailed instructions, it is quite easy (for an advanced user), just follow the error messages.

i dont think i can get it working unless i have a clear user friendly step by step guide. unless this happens then ill think ill wait until your final n900 version. thanks
