Ok, I expressed myself really badly. Sorry about that. Note to self, wait at least till the morning to write stuff like that.
What I meant was, for example, a usage case:
I start the application and my predefined exercise, which keeps going until:
I do my 15 push ups and then I manually push a button.
Then two things happen:
A: It gives a +1 value to show how many sets I have made so far. It would be nice if it showed me that Ive made for example "1 of 4 sets".
B: starts a countdown timer that I have predefined before which gives me say 90secs of rest and then says "start"/signals me that the brake is over.
(Just a thought, when it signals Start! It would also be nice if it reminded me how many reps I should do as in blinking text "15 reps!" for a few seconds on screen)
I do my next set of push ups and push the button when im done and get my rest and then I repeat this two times more.
When im done with my sets, I get a done signal "4/4 Sets" a tone/happy "tadaa" from ESpeak
This would allow me to both preconfigure exercises as in:
A: number of reps per set(s?).
B: seconds of rest between (per set?)sets.
C: how many sets.
D: and then I could manually start the stretching exercise!
I dont know how all of this sound if its within the function of your nice application, just some thoughts.
Im not a developer so, forgive my ignorants if this is way more advanced than it sounds in my head.

Ok, I understand your requirement now. It's doable. I dunno when I'll get to doing it though ... but I'll give it a shot.

A new version of the exercise rep counter is available in extras-testing now.
The app has been enhanced to allow I hope you find it useful. See the wiki page here for more info: https://garage.maemo.org/plugins/wik...id=1297&type=g
I'm going to look into accelerometer usage, but that will take me some time.
All feedback is appreciated.
Oh, if you like it please vote for it here: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...sitrep/0.4-15/
