Install instructions are outlined in the first post. It's not in the repos so you have to download mypaint and mypaint-data from my site!

Hey anders_gud,

I want to keep this apps dev going, so is there anything currently you need help testing?

I was thinking maybe reordering the brush list, like starting from the fastest brushes to the slowest most cpu intensive ones. If that's some I can do via text editor I'd be happy to.

I've not been using so much lately, but want to make sure that you get help and thing progress. Of course if real life is slowing dev down... can't help ya there, but understand.

Im opposed to that. Leaving the default config with the default interface is the way to go. Maybe offer some customized brushes and Brush order conf files in the forum, but the root package should stay vanilla.

I don't have a problem with that. Though looking around at some palettes here, here and here it was hard to determine what was really the default setup. The order seems rather chaotic to me. But I can work on my own brush order and upload for others to grab if they find it useful.

I know that when I first started using mypaint I found it a little frustrating when I click on a brush that wound up being really slow. I can't be the only one ...

I'm having some problems..

If I use default pressure settings then pencils work really poorly, and if I use suggested pressure setting in the picture all brushes seem to behive like point to point line drawning tool..

I have tried different settings for pressure and i think i found settings where all brushes work. But I can't really notice difference between ligth and heavy pressure. Oh well it's not really a big problem for me.

Thx for great app, and I'm hoping to see it soon in repos.

Mozar, I think we only have this work around till a bug is fixed.

Please setup bugzilla account and vote for https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8435

I dont believe this... Still not fixed or even assigned. Anyone with experience in this field like to make an educated guess what the problem is?

I have had so much fun with this program and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thank you for all the hard work. Every inch of progress on this project will be met with cheers, cake and offers of oral pleasure..

Hi! I want to thank you all .. this is so great and fun painting app for N900. Pressure sensitivity works great... this is my mini Cintiq+Painter.

Now MyPaint is even better.. because of Overclocking. Mine N900 running now 900MHz. I can do very large sketches... and use very complex brushes and settings.

I only wish that MyPaint in future includes Blending modes for Layers and some sort of Symmetry tool and rulers ala SketchBook Pro. But even without these this is great little painting and drawing app.

In my opinion Nokia N900 + MyPaint beats easily Apple iPad + SketchBook Pro and Brushes mostly because iPad do not support pressure sensitivity. And I prefer much more the N900 small physical size.

There is a picture I made with N900 + MyPaint 0.7.2 for Fremantle =]

I lost over 5 MB in my rootfs after installing this app. Did I do something wrong? Here's what the terminal spit out after installing the libraries:

I ran apt-get autoremove and apt-get autoclean, and Extras-Devel is no longer enabled. My rootfs went from 47.3 MB to 41.9 MB. Any help appreciated.
