b4 installing the new kernel i did a firmware flash (backup first) to have a nice clean installation, then created the file for the OC and UV
reboot

great kernel titan
thnx for your great work
Yes, indeed. The kernel24 is a much more tweaker friendly kernel. With this you can find out exactly what your device can take. Titan is a suitible nick name for his god like apperance here on maemo.

sure no problem
i downloaded the full FW from here : http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php (just put your imei to get the latest FW )
and the flasher from here : http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-d...-downloads.php
put the fw in the flasher folder
then
1)flasher-3.5.exe -F XXX -f -R - XXX is the file name for the FW
2)Phone Boots up set it like new (contact sms IM setting are still there)
3)add the maemo extras/devel/testing repo's
4)install the kernel-power-flasher
5)install the kernel-power-settings
6)install ssh client and server
7)ssh to your device from your pc using Winscp
8)create a file named kernel-power at /etc/default
9)copy the setting you want from /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/
copy the script from one of the files there to the kernel-power at /etc/default we created earlier
10)install conky to make sure you have the new settings
reboot and there you have it OC and UV kernel

now install everything else

i suggest trying 810Mhz first very stable for most devices

Hi,

I'm using kernel-maemo_2.6.28-maemo22_armel.deb but I can't change frequencies in 'dsp_opps_rate' file. I can change values in 'vdd1_opps_vsel'.

After I change one frequency is still reads the old value.

How can this be?

Would like to add to your guide that "cpufreq-info" is another way to get info on what you run. Without installing conky though it's a good program to have anyway.

And that you don't need to send the files to your computer. You could just as easy edit them in the n900. Using "leafpad" or "vi".

Try: dmesg | grep "error"

as much as i love my N900 i still prefer my Pc's keyboard
my thumbs are a bit to big for extensive writing over the N900

but yeah you're right it is just as easy
